Microtec txt® is a single-component, moldable, thixotropic coating formulated with high-performance cements, aggregates, additives, catalysts, inorganic colorants, and synthetic resins. It only needs to be mixed with water to harden. It is moldable and allows for thicknesses up to 20 cm, making it suitable as a special coating for thematic applications.

USE

Microtec txt® is suitable for creating:

• Highly decorative continuous coatings for walls and ceilings.

• Coating furniture, shelves, fireplaces, etc.

• Decorative coatings for shops, offices, hallways, exhibition areas, homes, etc.

• Smoothing walls.

• Reproducing natural elements such as stone, wood, rock, logs, and bricks on facades, theme parks, walls, gardens, etc.

USAGE AND APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

A. Surface Preparation:

Before applying Microtec txt® microcement, it is necessary to prepare the surface according to the conditions of the substrate. Certain applications require specific solutions: Compactec® consolidator for deteriorated mortars, fiberglass mesh, adhesion promoters Bonding Bridge 100, vapor barriers, or rising damp barriers Vapoepox®. In any case, follow the recommendations of our technicians. The application substrate must be clean and free of grease, and the base must be consolidated and in good planar condition. Surfaces should be pre-wetted, especially in hot or windy weather.

B. Mixing:

Microtec txt® is mixed with water and toner according to the selected color. To ensure the coating properties, it is essential to adhere to the ratio between microcement and water:

- 20kg Microtec txt® – 4.5-5 liters of water.

C. Mortar Preparation:

The mortar should be prepared as follows:

1. Pour the water into a container, add the entire load of pigment corresponding to the amount of microcement being used, and mix until a homogeneous colored liquid is obtained.

2. Gradually pour the microcement powder while mixing the product with a low-speed mechanical mixer.

3. Mix for at least 2 minutes until a homogeneous and lump-free mixture is obtained.

D. Consumption:

The performance on a surface prepared with Microtec txt® is as follows:

The better the leveling and preparation of the surface to be covered, the better the performance, the lower the material cost, and the shorter the application time. It is advisable to choose the appropriate method for each application.

E. Preparation Layers:

When the support is prepared and in perfect condition, we will apply Microtec txt® by projecting it onto the mesh with the desired thickness. It can be applied manually or with a projection device. Then we will shape the volume using spatulas or trowels, creating all kinds of shapes up to 20 cm thick in multiple layers. Once hardened, we will sand and sculpt the desired pieces.

It can be pigmented and aged with mineral pigments or powdered patinas.

F. Sealing:

Cemher® microcements should be sealed after curing for 24 to 48 hours. The coating can be sealed when it has less than 5% moisture, measured with tools designed for this purpose. Cemher® microcements can be sealed with Hidroprimer® sealing primer and Aquamax® water-based lacquer or Maxipur® solvent-based lacquer.
